On May 9, 2017, the Supreme Court of North Carolina held a court session in the 1767 Chowan County Courthouse. This occasion marks the 250th Anniversary of the Chowan County Courthouse, the first courthouse in North Carolina. This is a historical opportunity where North Carolina’s first courthouse will host North Carolina’s highest court.
